Individuals - Life / personal coaching

Generally having your photo taken is like catching sight of yourself in a mirror in the street – an ugly, slightly familiar face looks back.
I have had many photographs taken in my business and personal life and I have hated nearly all of them. I am disappointed I am not the person I thought I was, and not even the person I see in the mirror each day.
But the photoVoyage photos were a revelation. THEY ARE ME. Penny hasn’t made me look beautiful in a conventional sense, but she has captured my character. I don’t look bland, but instead of noticing usual details of nose, or hair, I see someone with personality and character. What a life-affirming experience!

Annie Sloan, designer, writer

Penny uses a photoVoyage as the first of her coaching sessions, the photos being a powerful trigger to start some honest conversations. In subsequent sessions, Penny and her client can refer back to these photos, looking for different expressions that tell us more about ‘who they are’, rather than just what they look like.

A photoVoyage can be a unique gift to yourself or for someone you know. We could all use a boost of self-confidence at times. Used as a special kind of photo session, it’s an opportunity for some self-reflection and you get a book of fantastic photos to keep. This “Book of your Voyage” has blank pages and prompts, so if you choose you can reflect on and write about your photos. Other people can also look at your book and share their views . It can be very enlightening, and often very reassuring to know how other people see you.

Penny’s unique talent for making people feel comfortable while they are being photographed will surprise even the most camera-shy!

Used at times of challenge and change, significant birthdays or just for a boost of self confidence, photoVoyage is a life-affirming experience!

Workshops

Penny runs local workshops for between 6 and 10 people.

Here I am … This is me –

Workshops for anyone facing challenge and change, divorce, retirement, ‘empty nest’. Penny will also take suggestions for workshops. These are run locally, usually in peoples’ homes or a local hall that is not too cavernous.

Costs vary depending on number of participants, but average around £30 for a 3 hour workshop.

It’s not often I get a chance to think only about me, and talk about me without feeling self-indulgent

These photos are more 3-dimensional than a mirror and reveal the self I only dreamed I was

What a life-affirming experience!”

As I looked under the surface I saw similarities and family characteristics which served to remind me of my strengths as well as my weaknesses.

I see a person of deep sadness but not despair… Odd that I don’t see a person not to like!
