Business, Corporate & Coaching

Many people carry around with them an image of the kind of person they wish they were – but what is needed is not so much the effort to improve ourselves, as the effort to become more aware of the beauty of what we already are

Coaches using photoVoyage

For yourself as coach

It is obviously of benefit if you have experienced a photoVoyage before you use it with a client.

These photos helped crystallise how I come across as a coach and leader

Libby M, coach

As an executive coach I understand the need for a strong sense of Impact and Presence. PhotoVoyage does this and it provides a rare opportunity to see ourselves as others see us

John Learey-Joyce, CEO AoEC

For your clients

As session two or three in a coaching relationship, a photoVoyage can be of great benefit. The session will help your coaching client look at themselves from “an observer perspective” and with more clarity. I do the photoVoyage one- on- one, but am happy if you join us for the final 15 minutes of the facilitation part of the session. We all benefit from your input, and you then become part of the process, becoming familiar with the photos and your client’s responses. Referring to the photos in future coaching sessions has great benefit for you and your client as they become a visual trigger to talking about self awareness and how others see them.

Penny as coach

My coaching style reflects my work as a portrait photographer where I need to quickly establish a strong rapport with my client. Using photoVoyage and a Solution Focused approach we work towards non-judgmental self-awareness and authenticity. From here we can look at the reality of their situation, at goals and change, better working relationships … and happiness.

My clients include coaches, therapists, HR professionals and executives. I also enjoy coaching individuals who need confidence building at times of stress and change.

Group / team photoVoyage

photoVoyage is an effective complement to a variety of programmes. It is versatile and Penny will work closely with you to tailor photoVoyage to your group’s needs.

Penny works closely with coaches and training providers to maximise the impact of photoVoyage for your particular client group.

The value of photovoyage for groups is that the photos trigger direct and honest feedback that is more effective than ‘just talking’. Having the photos there makes it easier to make comments about other group members, as they are talking about the photos. This feels less a personal attack and is highly effective for stimulating good and valuable conversations. Penny has some interesting activities that groups can play, using the photos, to trigger some useful feedback. Great fun. High impact.

Penny captures Individual expressions, body language and group interaction – all of which can be used in de-briefing or co-coaching sessions.

The photoVoyage process was powerful and thought-provoking and has enhanced my self-confidence

Jenny, Learning & Development Advisor

My photoVoyage has definitely changed my understanding of the impact I have on people and of the presence I carry into the therapy room

Melanie Harrold, psychotherapist

Penny has an unfailing ability to give her clients the gift of their true essence first by seeing it herself and then by coaching them to see it for themselves

Ann Lewis, Leadership Coach

Penny’s unique photoVoyage programme is an optional experience for Ann Lewis Coaching’s “Back on Track” clients, giving them new, authentic perspectives on their identity and presence. These are clients who have suffered confidence-damaging experiences at work, and for whom the affirmation achieved through photoVoyage can be uplifting

Ann Lewis. Leadership Coach

Penny helped my client explore and develop flexibility around the different ways he presented himself to clients, colleagues and friends. His confidence was boosted by the experience, the session provided time for in-depth reflection, and the skillful photography, relaxing atmosphere and instant impressions enabled my client to use the time extremely effectively. A good investment.

Sarah, Corporate Coach.
